You might have already heard given the Hogwarts rumour mill, but I was attacked by mistletoe yesterday, along with Murphy, and it pushed our lips together. It wasn't a kiss, it was a... crash, but there were several onlookers who thought it a huge joke so who knows what's going around now.

Leah, I'm not sure if you heard about the mistletoe incident already, but Murphy and I got cornered by some enchanted mistletoe, and there was a crowd of kids chanting for us to kiss. Some were Ravenclaws and he looked really pissed off after the incident so I'm concerned he might take revenge. Keep an eye out?

As there are some people who are struggling with their school work, I just want to remind everyone that there is a support network of students around to help.

Personally I'm more than happy to assist with the 6th year subjects of Arithmancy, Charms, DADA, and Transfiguration.

Also, if you need someone to listen to your worries, I'm a good listener. HINT HINT TO ALL OF YOU LOOKING MISERABLE

As you may know, tomorrow is Declan's birthday. I'm guessing he won't want to do something big, but I felt we should make the occasion so I asked the House Elves to make up a cake. If you all could be in the common room after dinner tomorrow, we can present it to him as a group.

Well, I don't feel much different being 18, perhaps I'm already getting to the stage where the years just blur?

Thank Merlin I found this before school started. Somehow managed to lock it in a drawer with some old papers so have been practically pulling the house apart looking without even thinking to check in the drawer. Why is it that things you lose are always in the last place you look?

Anyway, apologies to anyone who left me messages. I wasn't ignoring you on purpose.

It's been an eventful end to the month - what with the attack on QQS (I'm glad I could help stop the thieves!) and putting everything in order with the business. Hogwarts is actually seeming more like a rest!

Chloe and I have been talking and decided we all need a break for a couple of days to actually have a proper summer before school starts again.

Well, after almost three months, Sung Trading is back to full operational strength and my plan for opening a discount warehouse has come to fruition. It's not intended to drive any Diagon Alley shops out of business (after all, many of them are customers!), but there will be a lot of goods for setting up households and also some bulk school items/clothing for families that are still struggling to get back on their feet. Later on the plan is to import and sell more specialty stuff from Asia. There was a celebratory drink after today's board meeting, but I restricted myself to half a glass - soju is strong.

I'll be at Hogwarts tomorrow to continue on with the clean-up work, who else will be there?

Molly, Nathan, Cal, Geoff, Declan, Andrew, Demelza, Chloe... anyone who has a journal... are you all right?

Nearly drowning is not an experience I recommend. Still, got to hand it to Professor Flitwick, he's quick off the mark when there's a crisis!

Aside from that, I'm glad to be back at Hogwarts. There are definitely some things I missed.

I heard something about Apparition tests being held in Hogsmeade this weekend. Yet only IS members can go to Hogsmeade. Is that correct?

How are the holidays treating both of you? It's a bloody relief to be out of the castle, right?

Still, it's not like we can forget that there's a war going on, eh? Have either of you been to Diagon Alley? I swear I saw some people I knew there - one looked a lot like Chloe's dad. It's depressing there anyway, and makes me want to hit something, preferably an IS member.

My housemate Emily's mother was killed, don't know if you saw the report in the Daily Prophet, it was buried away. We haven't heard anything from Emily or Wayne yet.

Also, I think something happened in St James' Park - Spencer and I were there the other day and the Muggles were saying there was a terrorist attack, but it's obvious that wasn't, magic was used. Can't find any reports of a fight so I'm hoping this means the Death Eaters lost.

My little sister has decided it's her dream in life to be a pastry chef and I'm the guinea pig for her cooking experiments. If I return to school as round as a ball, it's because Minnie fed me one chocolate eclair too many!

I should be cross about what happened to my shoes, but actually I'm more curious about how it was done without me noticing. Ancient Runes isn't so riveting that I forget everything else going on around me.

Thank Merlin for drying spells though.

I believe I've just found the perfect happy memory for the Patronus - the expression on Parkinson's face as she started sprouting hair. Merlin, I don't think I've seen something so funny in a long time, and I saw Minnie giggling with her friends about it later so that was an extra bonus.

So, phase one and two were successful, especially two as we also gave the whole school a laugh.

Three will be tricker. Considering the recent change to the 'punishments' we should consider that if we get caught, our friends are more likely to suffer, so let's make it more a prank than anything else. Pink smoke and fartng noises from his broom, making it wobble when he's a few feet off the ground, but nothing that anyone could say was a danger to life and limb, yeah?

Someone told me the Slytherin common room got flooded. You lot swimming or was it a false alarm?

I'm not sure why some people seem to think that the Towler business will make me feel 'better'. I had some fourth years come up to me after lunch and ask me if I was happy that my parents had been avenged. Short answer: no. Towler getting the Kiss doesn't bring my parents back, so how could it really make me feel truly 'happy'? I would have preferred to have sat at the trial and faced him, that might have made me feel 'better'. Because the thing that gnaws at me is the why and the how, and now I'll never get those answers from him.

I quite liked the weather today.
